Default Tonights Guest Speaker - Steve Parton

Morning folks,

Just a quick reminder that the Foremark Flyfishers winter programme kicks off this evening with guest speaker Steve Parton.

Steve is well known to most anglers in this area and tends to be controversial at the least. His main topic will be deep fishing for big browns and rainbows. What we will finish on is up to you!

8pm start and remember that we have changed venue to the John Thompson Inn at Ingelby - The John Thompson Inn & Brewery - Home

Membership is available to all for £20 per season and non members and guests can pay a nominal fee on the door

Please see Foremark Flyfishers - Winter Programme 2011 for details and dates of remainder of the programme

See you there !

Cheers,

J

Default Rob Edmunds

Morning Folks,

Just a quick reminder for this evenings guest speaker Rob Edmunds

Rob is probably one of the best advocates of fly fishing currently on the circuit. His CV is as follows:

Not bad. Now will you come along and listen to what he has to say? Need some questions to ask at the end of the evening so if you have any, be prepared, he will answer anything!

8pm start and remember that we have changed venue to the John Thompson Inn at Ingelby - The John Thompson Inn & Brewery - Home

Membership is available to all for £20 per season and non members and guests can pay a nominal fee of £3 on the door

Evening Folks,

Just a quick reminder for this coming Monday evening the 7th Feb our guest speakers are Paul & Sue Sissons.

Paul has been Team manager of the England Ladies team for the past four years and has been involved with the team since 2005. Has fished rivers and lochs all over the country and writes articles for the Sheffield Angling Star.
Sue is a GAIC instructor and is also an APGAI and Level 2 coach. She has 14 years experience and has fished European and Commonwealth Championships since 2000 and has an enviable six Gold Medals for her efforts in the Home Internationals.

Impressive CV’s to say the least. They will aim to mix the competition approaches with methods of fishing reservoirs: search methods etc. We will mention other fishing but focus on reservoirs. The will also bring some items for sale if anyone is interested: some rods, flies, lines, leader etc at sensible prices usually approx 40% discount.

8pm start and remember that we have changed venue to the John Thompson Inn at Ingelby - The John Thompson Inn & Brewery - Home

Membership is available to all for £20 per season and non members and guests can pay a nominal fee of £3 on the door

Please see www.foremarkflyfishers.co.uk for further details and dates for the remainder of the programme and our club competitions.

See you there !

Cheers,

J

Default Next Monday

Monday evening the 14th Feb our guest speakers are Bernie Maher and Don Staziker

The pair have come in at the last minute due to planned speaker John Watson being taken ill.

Their talk will be based on ‘two weeks in Montana’, from which the pair will be bouncing their own ideas off each other and the audience.

All of the talk will be river based and I am sure their ideas will be well suited to our local rivers and those of Derbyshire.

Both Maher and Staziker have spoken at the club before on an individual basis and they are at the top of the list when it comes to river fishing.

The former is a current member of the England set-up and just why Staziker is not in the team is beyond me as he is just a brilliant angler. He fishes the rivers of Derbyshire on a regular basis and has produced several DVD’s on such.

The meeting is open to all anglers and it will cost £3 on the door. Alternatively, you can become a member for £20. There will be free food on the night.

Default Skateboard Dave

Just a quick heads up everyone

Mon 28th Feb - Skateboard Dave.

Who? Dave is an angler with a difference. He is aged 45, runs 60 miles a week and sells skateboards. So what is so different? Well, he fly fishes for any fish that he can catch, in any stream that he can find, including streams in the middle of cities.

8pm start and remember that we have changed venue to the John Thompson Inn at Ingelby
Membership is available to all for £20 per season and non members and guests can pay a nominal fee of £3 on the door

Please see www.foremarkflyfishers.co.uk for further details and dates for the remainder of the programme and our club competitions.

See you there !

Cheers,

J
