there have been a few places claiming to be ice free when they actually have not been, resulting in some unhappy customers i believe.. im not sayin middletons one of them but the only place i know to be near enough completely ice free is new haylie. i was there today and was 20 odd fishing with fish being caught all over the water.

Cheers guys,

Took a chance today and viseted Middleton , great doy out with a few fish caught , despite the cold and windy weather.

About 50 - 60 % of the pegs are available for fishing and Paul spent most of the day breaking up the ice to open up more of the pegs.

A big thanks to Gary , Paul and whoever else was involved , as it must have been a huge task to get the ice broken up enough to allow us to fish here.

Hot tea , coffee and rolls went down a treat today and the fish were 1st class as ever.

Thanks again .

Duncan & Stuart.

Yes it was a huge task, Paul, Gary, Chris, Robbie and Dave were working most of Sunday afternoon. Paul was out all day.

Default ice nearly gone

I fished Middleton today too, usual friendly welcome from Gary, Paul and co.
ICE ? I’d estimate easily less than ¼ of the water was still iced (crushed), though constantly being broken up mercilessly by "the Robbie", he appeared to have some compulsive thing going with the ice ??? still bashing away when Hoodi & I left when the rain/sleet came on.

Good job Guys keep it up.
