New year report as of Monday 3rd jan 2011
A Happy new year to everyone and over the last week fishing has been steady,no great numbers being caught but nearly every angler is getting sport and catching.The lochs are now all clear of ice now as of Monday.Some nice fish have been caught and Blues and browns have featured well.Graham Young returned a good brown of around 3lbs,Eddie Kane had one around 2 1/2lbs,Scott Sim had a good day with 11 fish on buzzers and landed a nice fish of 9lbs,Gordon Brown had a good fish of 7lb 7ozs,Okane McLennan had 14 fish for his day fishing hard on the bottom with bloodworm patterns and Dave McGregor had 10 fish on his outing. best flies have been bloodworms,woolie worms,Consett Budgies and orange and pink Blobs being the pick.The Cancelled Christmas bash gathering will now be on sunday 9th jan and all are welcome,it is not a competition,but there will be raffles,secret santa and lunch and it is a fun day to start the year off.
