I've been up to Walkerwood around lunchtime today and Pete's hard at it breaking up the ice, I'm planning on wetting a line this Sunday.

Have a look here at the official site http://www.walkerwood.free-online.co.uk/
and my little site Walkerwood Trout Fishery
or give Pete a quick call on 07780 960390 for the very latest upto date info.

Buzzers and dries are my personal preference throughout the season.

Not Good...

Met Clive aka Canadakid on the dam wall at 8am this morning and stayed until the light started to fade around 4pm this afternoon. All the dam wall and about a third of the reservoir is still frozen but slowly breaking up.
I had one touch all day to a red buzzer and Clive didn't even manage that.
There was 3 other anglers on today and as far as I am aware they didn't do anything either.
The waters been heavily iced over for a fortnight and today for vast parts of the day it was flat calm.

A strange day to be honest fishing wise, I've never gone to Walkerwood and not seen fish topping even in colder temperatures than today, 1'c on the bank at 10am.

Oh well looking forward to Kilnsey next sunday now!

Update on a few in Lancs:
Pendle View is clear and fishing well, though no fresh stock due to previous ice. Had 8 today in 4hrs.
Barnsfold has a small amount of clear water but generally frozen
Bank House - Small amt of water but need to book to get a peg.
Loveclough - Frozen
Flyde - Frozen

I didn't even know about Loveclough! Hopefully the weather will continue to improve and I may get to wet a line for the first time this coming weekend, I'm getting to the point where I'll travel where ever!
Things must be starting to improve now....???
