Chalk Springs in Arundel is virtually always ok & is open at the moment. May be a bit of a trip for you though.

The Wandle is free of ice for most of it. Or trek down to the Hampshire chalk streams.

Default Chalk Springs

Hello, I fished Chalk Springs yesterday (28th) and it is fine. There is a small amount of ice on one of the lakes but that has probably gone by now. A good number of fish were coming out, however the place is very busy so definitely book up.

Fished Mill lake at Albury on Monday, even though the website said it was 90% iced over it, was nearly totally ice free. No freezing temperatures since then so it must be fine.

I had two out to Orange Fritz and saw another half a dozen landed between four other anglers, so give it a go.

All the best
