Default Yorkshire/Lincolnshire Ice Free?

Heya

Does anybody know of somewhere that is ice free and open for a spot of trout fishing in the Yorkshire/Lincolnshire area......anywhere will do, I would fish a puddle at the minute if it had a fish in it or even if it didn't as long as it is ice free! I have tried Ranskill, Toft Newton, Thorpe Vale but they are all closed or iced up at the minute........

Been thinking about Pool also. Isn't there some free grayling water around the outskirts of Sheffield?

Go to links below to see how to join/find out about the SPRITE section of the river in Sheffield. Lots of trout redds (nests) around at the moment so take care when wading.

Hi lee majors, did you manage to find any stillwaters open? Im in the same position and in the same part of the world, am off this week and really wanting to get out and fish on Thursday, did you try Barlow Lakes or Cleatham, normally the guy at Stubbs Hall works hard to get the place fishable too, going to call round tomorrow to see if anywheres fishing but just wondering if you had any luck?

Cheers.
