I guess that's what is called 'Reassuringly expensive'.
They'll still be plenty of takers even at that price.
I've not cast one, perhaps they ARE worth the money? However they would need to be bloody good!! (Cue SP!!)

Total rip off that, no rod is worth that price. I don't like the look of them either with the blue wrappings on it.

I think, and call me cynical if you will, that the bright blue wrappings are designed to advertise the financial Alpha Male-ness of the user to other fishermen. Modern term, Bling. Why else?
(Unless, as I said before, it really is that good, and if it is, why so Lurid? Nouveu or what...)

Had a play with the nrx a few months ago wasn't that impressed just didn't suit me .
Those blue whippings make it look like a cheap rod & certainly wouldn't pay what they are asking for the rods, maybe in the right hands it is a good rod but not for me .

On a rod costing £769.99 or a rod costing£1199.99 the extra VAT would be no more than £19.24 or £27.99.I have purchased many rods within this price range, the VAT difference, found them to work OK , but I have never paid£1119 for a rod!!!

Yah gotta laugh.
