Hi to all, some of you may remember my cries for help on here for fly tying and the adverts I posted asking for some one to one, well great news some kind chap contacted me and has offered to give me one to one at my house but the snow has held us up but we will be meeting after the snow clears, so thanks to all who replied to my questions, and it just goes to show this forum gets results now I have a chap to show me and get me started in fly tying . Well I bought the materials about 2 years ago and just never knew how to go about it, this winter I was looking through them and decided I want to try this so I thought of putting an ad on and picked a great site too, I have done a simple Red Tag well after a fashion but I liked doing it and done a couple the same, but once he shows me how to do things and use the materials I am gonna really like doing it, thanks for your interest . . .

Dear Jack , If the snow stops you for a while - have a look on You Tube where Dave Cammiss has done some excellent work most helpfully for beginners .

Dave is a retired flyfisherman and is not trade connected - just a thoroughly helpful bloke and he does it free !

Can't fault him - he's old school and loves the job

Ok I will have a look where you suggested I have heard that name before, trouble is hard for me as can only read subtitles so do not hear on vids etc, so has to be one to one. Jack . .

Don't want to sound funny Jack but i find watching the tying rather than the talking helps me more! ian

Yes this is true I guess Ian I watch them in silence of course but I can still see what he is doing, would benice to know what he is saying but them that is what you get for playing daft golf, trouble is with vids etc there is always a simple question that you wanna ask to really help you but vids do not reply, that is why I am sooooo pleased to have found a kind chap to give me some one to one lessons, I know I will soon then get going and he will tell me what a lot of my materials are and for what touse them for, as I have a lot I do not know what they are really .
