Default Weird things that have never happened to you

Finished work yesterday for Christmas,am gagging to wet a line but everywhere is frozen solid.
Just been putting a new 5wt line on my reel and it got me to thinking about things that have never happened to me in fishing!

1. i've never caught a fish between 1.5 pounds and 10 pounds (this includes fly, sea and coarse fishing) all have been either small or absolutely huge fekin monsters

2. I have never EVER had a fish break me off, honest injun, this includes 22 pound carp on 3lb tippets

Any of you guys have any similar experiences ?

Actually how the hell did a 22lb fish not break you on 3lb test, you should sell it as anchor cable in the 10lb test, you'd make a mint

Lol!

I got your point but I think you should have added something about things that you would have expected to have happened but that haven't to make it a bit easier for people to understand if they weren't able to get it from the original post.

The only one I can think of is never catching a scorpion fish when shore fishing. Dead easy to catch and they have been caught by friends fishing next to me but never by me. Though I do have quite a few octopi to my credit which no one else seems to catch on such a regular basis!

Have a look at some of the IGFA line class records, roll cast - they will really surprise you! My first biggish fish was an 11lb pike on 4lb line. Not so impressive a feat but as a beginner pretty lucky to get it and a reflection of the efficacy of the balanced outfit I was advised to buy. I think that that, some skill and in my example, plenty of luck, makes it possible to land heavy fish on light lines.
