Default New Year's Resolution

early i know, but i would propose a fisherman's resolution to get out to one of our stillwaters twice in the month of January. this cold weather must be playing havoc with the owner's business and it's set to return tomorrow. I am not a fishery owner, much that i'd love to be, but would heartily recommend we all get out there and help those who keep our fishing going.

Oh and Happy Christmas one and all.

Alex

Are many even open in Jan? I know all of my regulars close on 31st Dec and reopen between end of Feb and April

Quite a few Wessex smallwaters stay open all year, and indeed can fish very well if the weather isn't too unkind. As Alex says, let's give them some help in January if we can.

If anyone can recommend a quality fishery in the midlands/east anglia that is open in Jan I'll resolve to try to get one trip in in Jan. I quite like fishing in the winter anyway, tends to be quieter. I don't like it when its shoulder to shoulder on the bank as I prefer to move around a lot.

Last year I vowed to keep out of viewpoint, and I am still trying.

Smile winter fishing

Hi Everyone, hope i can get up to sharpley lakes this saturday, snow permitting, the lads that look after it are doing there best to keep some of the lakes open, and some are catching a few trout in the bargain. Even if k nowone is catching the crack is good.good luck to all.
