Default First Visit to The UK Forum;

Hello,

I am a member on the North American Forum and finally got around to making the trip across the Atlantic. My name is Ard and I live in Alaska. I was born in Pennsylvania in the lower 48 but have been here (Alaska) for many years now. Although we have rainbow trout, steelhead, char and grayling here my favorite species to pursue are salmon. We have 5 specie of salmon here and the runs begin in mid May continuing through November. The November fish have little to fear from me due to the air temperatures at that time of year. Here the season is over and the rivers frozen so I must rely on writing about fishing to keep the embers hot through the long Alaskan winter. I will check in now and again to read your threads here to see what you fellows are up to.

Regards,

Ard

Hi Ard, welcome aboard, it's pretty much like Alaska here at the moment as well.

Welcome to the forum Ard,

I regularly read the North American Forum, some great wilderness adventures and excellent fishing exploits posted on there! As Mr Trout said "it's pretty much like Alaska here at present" although our -minus freezing temperatures don't quite get as low as they do in Alaska.

Hope to read some of your future posts; and maybe some photos? come to think of it, could you post some photos of Alaska?

Regards

Mostyn

Welcome. I to am a PA born guy in a different land. I moved to the UK ~3.5 years ago now from PA/NY. I was born and raised in SWPA and fished the Laurel highlands, the northern tier, and the Erie coast most of the time (plus the bass lakes and ponds of SWPA). I'd be curious to hear where you are from originally.

Thanks,
Rick
