I bought some Ronnie about two months ago, and they are great VFM.
I got them for riding the bike with, as I can't wear gloves for fishing.
But usual Aldi quality, and for a fiver you can't go wrong.

Barbour fingerless gloves are fine to fish with, but the fingers do get cold in very cold weather.

I like Aldi cold weather gear. The Aldi neoprene gloves also have a fleece lining and sound just the job for real cold weather.

I'll be buying a pair on Thursday.

Review to follow.

Anyone else find the Aldi website rubbish in Firefox, it works OK in Internet Explorer but if I open it it Firefox it uses about 65% of the CPU and unusable.

I've found any kind of glove is a pain in the rear whilst fishing - especially fingerless, as you are more inclined to tie knots with them on, and I almost always end up having to pull the fly out of the glove.

Hand warmers in pockets!

Neoprene is more designed to trap water against the skin as a warm layer - hence "Wet Suit".

Neoprene comes in different thicknesses with common thickness ranging from 6mm to 3mm with the occassional 2mm and 1mm. I have 1mm socks that I use inside my fins for Winter bodyboarding ....... the only problem being than any 'wee-wee' ends up in the socks and not in the water

I have found neoprene gloves to be nigh on useless as they are too thick and bulky to effectively handle your rod/reel or tie flies on with.

Sealskinz may be worth a look and I wouldnt like latex as I reckon your hands would sweat and wrinkle up badly.

Personally, I wont wear gloves and prefer to simply keep my hands dry and in my pockets or around a cup of coffee (with Frangelico)

Best wishes

Ben
