This might sound a bit thick, but there again, I am, my grandson has lost his rod license, is it possible to obtain a replacement one or does he have to pay and look big and get another,
Thanks in advance for any replies I may get. ......

Should be easy enough to sort Pete, try the EA site, they will have the name and address, and will I'm sure send out another.

Thank you Steven, very kind of you, I've sent him an email to do just that in the morning, he's a good lad but like Grandad a bit thick, at my age there's an excuse, not at his tender age of 26, no excuse.......Cheers and another ..

I always buy mine at the post office Pete,so if I did ever lose mine I suppose my first port of call would be there.
But I think as they are just agents for the EA, they would only tell me to contact them direct.
Records are on the system, and if he was caught fishing without it, I am sure the explanation and correct address given to the bailiff would cover it, but probably better off with the license on his person TBH.
Hope he sorts it.

Costs a fiver, or a quid if he's a junior... For what it's worth I wouldn't bother as the checking system is post code based (bailiffs check on-line) just ensure he has I/D on him until next April.

Q: I have lost my rod licence and need a replacement, what do I do now?

A:If you have lost your rod licence or it has been destroyed then you can get a replacement licence. To get a replacement you will need to call us on 08708 506 506. There is a £5 (£1 for juniors) charge for a replacement licence payable by debit/ credit card, cheque or postal order.

or Grandads

if you have the number off the licence you should be fine as they can check it against there records, and if you have some proof of ID with you say like your driving licence or something or even carry an old utility bill with you and show him them at the same time he will know your not trying to pull a fast one

just a thought i presume he is over 12yo as before that he doesn't require a licence ??

You can get a replacement, I think they charge about a fiver for it.
