Default Sage TCR 9' 5# cheap on French Flea bay

Someone is selling this rod on the French e-bay with no reserve price and a start at 50 Euro: Canne mouche Fly rod SAGE TCR 9 pieds soie 5 en 4 brins en vente sur eBay.fr (fin le 06-déc.-10 21:12:22 Paris)

I've got no clue who the seller is but figured the price might interest someone out there.

Take care

Terry

Looks like he will only post to Metropolitan France , might be worth sending the seller a message to see if he will post to the UK

Stiff as a poker.

Ok if you are distance casting, or use a six weight line at close range.

Definitely a try before you buy rod.

Mine bends down to the corks when I cast it :-). I Wouldn't describe it as floppy, but it's not the beast that many make out.

What line James? A 9#?
But I do agree not the beast it is made out to be.
In fact I am on the lookout for one. Tried one before, detested it then tried another a few weeks ago and quite liked it

It's my go-to trout rod. I use #5 lines with it (albeit long bellied ones - MED's/Barrio GT140). I get on with it really well, even at short distances. Won't be to everyones taste though.

I bought a 7 weight off flea bay the other day for £200. it suits my casting style perfectly. - a lovely rod imo.
