Default Straid fishery northern ireland

STRAID FISHERY in Northern Ireland is to re open in 2011 under completely new management.

Click the image to open in full size.

This is probably Northern Irelands most famous put n take fishery. It was famous for its quality catches all year round.

The new manager, will be doing a lot of work between now and the spring, to get this first class fishery back to its former glory.

Personally speaking, I cant wait

I've only fished Straid one and I had a great day on it. It wasn't doing too well when I fished it, although I did catch a lot of grown on fish.
I like these kind of fisheries, the ones with the chance of catching good grown on fish. Another excellent example is Craigmore.

Anyway, good to hear that Straid is opening again. Best of luck to the new management.

Brennan

The new look straid fishery opened today with some almighty fishing.

The car park was as busy as ive ever seen it and the fishing was fantastic.

All 12 boats were on the water.

Some of the hardest fighting rainbows ive caught.

Well done to Ray & Derek and all who helped get this great fishery back to its best.

Cant wait to get back

OO

Fished Straid today for the first time. Really enjoyed it. Very friendly welcome and really hard fighting fish. Great combination. Looking forward to going back.
Well done Ray and Derek.

Fishing it yesterday with Limavady. We had a superb day adrift, with loads of hard fighting bows

Does anyone know what happened to Adrian who used to run it? Is he still in the industry?
