Thumbs up Salmon in the Classroom

Well done to Mike Barrio of Barrio Flylines for sponsoring the Salmon in the Classroom Project.

I noticed it on the river don Trust website

The River Don Trust / Don District Salmon Fishery Board: Welcome stop press:

Salmon in the Classroom educational project for schools from Scottish Natural Heritage and Galloway Fisheries Trust

Good to see somone getting the youingsters involved in a worthwhile project.

Cheers

Jim

I’m certainly looking forward to reading about that.

I see from following links in the more up to date news postings on that site

The River Don Trust / Don District Salmon Fishery Board: Welcome stop press:

that Pitsford Pirate is also helping with fund raising.

Good on Mike for sponsoring it.

The river clyde foundation do a simillar project with trout.

A friend of mine is a primary school teacher and they are kicking a project off in the next couple of weeks.
I am not sure who is more excited, him or the kids.

And lets’ not forget Pitsford Pirate! It’s very generous indeed of him to donate goods for action to support a river so far away.
