Anyone considering fishing there in the next few days will be in for some great action.

I fished there this morning and had several up to 3lb on Red Holo Diawl Bach's.

I was fishing a full floater with a small orange blob on the top dropper and two size 10 red holo dialw bach's beneath.

The lake was stocked yesterday so the newcomers were very shoaled up. When I hit the shoal two were coming out together this happened more than once. The others came out to the point fly which was allowed to sink about 15 seconds.

Surprisingly, the fish were only about 15 yards from the bank... although I saw bigger fish just out of my casting range. Considering the very cold weather it made for a good mornings sport.

Anyone considering fishing there in the next few days should not be disappointed. Rib valley in my opinion is in the best form for ages. The start to this years season has been the best Ive ever seen it. The gin clear water has made for some really good nymphing sessions.
