Anyone experienced the joy of trying to receive a subscription gift from Trout Fisherman?

I've gone from a Wychwood fly box to a Greys tackle bag and judging by this months mag I'll not be recieving a Snowbee fleece.

When I got my November edition of T&S, they were offering a Snowbee fleece as well, this was on the 26th of October.
So at my expense I ring them on an 0845 number, to renew my subscription, I was anyway.
After ten minutes or so, and after carefully going through all the details, paying by credit card, checking my subscription number address etc I ring off.
Three weeks later I hear nothing, so I ring again at my expense, and explain, as I should have had a letter from them within a week.
I speak to another lady who tells me they have no record of it at all.
She then tells me to check my CC account,and if the money hasn't been taken, I will have to do it again.
Guess what, it hasn't been actioned, so I had to ring again and speak to yet another lady and explain everything again.
This was one week ago tomorrow, never had this problem before, can't believe anyone can be so dopy.

I subscribed a few months ago, with a Leeda Profile as the gift. My 1st Mag arrived but no reel, so I contacted them and was told it had been sent out. After a few weks it hadn't come, so contacted them again and asked if I could change my gift to the viewfinder fly box; no problem I was told...I'm still waiting due to no stock.
I did get a letter last week stating that it may be a further 28 days before I receive anything

Just called Bauer Media re my problem.

Got through to someone in 5 minutes which must be a record. But alas they couldn't help as their database is down for maintenance..... They suggested that i call back later this afternoon so that I can spent 30 mins on hold.

Shame on you Bauer Media! Shambles an absolute shambles.

Your better voting with your wallet. Tell them if they cant keep up with their end of the bargain you want a full refund under the sale of goods act.

I used to subscribe to Trout fisherman but cancelled. I went to Total Flyfisher and Fly Fishing & Fly Tying have never had any problems and my free gifts all arrived within days

I subscribed and got my free gift - a Leeda Profil reel - within a few days, and weeks before the first copy of the mag arrived. Guess I was just lucky/good timing I did notice that last month's edition arrived through the letter box three days after it first appeared in my local shop, but I'm not too bothered by that.

I'm afraid this is a way of life now, nobody seems interested, no wonder companies go bust, one big racket, like these competitions on TV, "What's the name of Santa Claus ?? is it, Fred, Charlie or Santa?" people fall for it all the time, they take in on phone calls around 0ne million quid, pay out in prizes, £1000, not a bad return....

I am still waiting for my Vue Finder box after three months but have carried on chasing them. The last e-mail I got they said to let them know if I did not get it by the end of this week. Lady I am dealing with now is different from the one I started dealing with. Apparently original lady has left!

We shall see..........

With T&S, I got my free Vision Koma reel within a week or so of subscribing. Have just received my very first copy of the magazine, however, and am a little underwhelmed by the content. Maybe I'm more of a TFF kind of guy?
