Default Fly Fishing Charities

Anyone know of any Fly Fishing Charities? I have a brook outfit that I'd like to get a good home for.

Shame you just missed the annual Monnow Fisheries Association auction at the begining of the month; a worthwhile cause and would have been good.

I know tigermoth works hard in organising this, but why not contact him to make a special lot?

I have a nice reel that I'm keeping for the auction at next year's Monnow Social.

The brook outfit I have is not of much monatary value so the sort of thing I'm thinking of is where help is given to disavantaged children by taking them fishing. The kit is surplus to my requirements but would be perfect for a young un.

Without trying to appear too shameless; the MFA is currently in the process of putting together a programme of courses for local primary school kids, beginning next year, so that they can get a start fishing our rivers and are introduced to their inhabitants and their importance. Not necessarily disadvantaged kids but potentially a worthwhile cause, for which we will need to beg, borrow or buy equipment for.

A reel for the Monnow Social auction - sounds great - I shall enjoy getting top dollar for that!

Hi Rob

Sounds like a very worthwhile cause to me! Let me know how I can get the stuff to you.

Ps With your bid acceptance technique I don't doubt you'll get good money for the reel!
