Default Salmon or Trout Parr

I'd would put money on it being a salmon parr, single spot on gill cover and shorter maxilla that doesnt extend beyond the eye, though to be sure a better view of the tail would be needed.

For my money i would say it is definately a baby brownie.

Just my thoughts and i've never seen such a heavily coloured salmon parr, but i can certainly see why people could go either way. As said above a bit more tail in the shot would really show you what you need to know "fork or no fork"

thanks paul, i know it is a shlt picture, I didnt know the tail would be important when I got my friend to take the picture

It has all the marks of a Salmon Parr,The tail would just have confirmed it.just read the guide and you will see that it is not a brownie.
