I haven't received a net I purchased from the members classified section. The boy received the cheque weeks ago - and has promised to send the net 'next day' twice. I sent him a message on Tuesday and have received no reply, I can see the boys been on the forum since then, so he must be ignoring it. What's the way to go with this?

Yeah that's what I was thinking too . Not been on the forum that long so did'nt know if this was the done thing.

I agree name and shame. However you say a few weeks don't forget it does take time for cheque to clear properly. I have sold various items (not on this site) and I always allow about 5 working days for clearance.
I then post item within a maximum of a further 2 working days.
If this guy has taken longer then other potential buyers must be made aware of possible problems.
It should not be your responsibility to keep chasing him up.
Send him one more message telling him what you intend to do.

If he is ignoring you he is asking to be named and shamed.

I sent a cheque off to another member for a salmon rod on the same day I sent for the net - the salmon rods been sitting in my cupboard for 3 weeks now - so I think the boys had enough time to take the cheque to the bank of England personally and get George Osbourne to countersign it.

Has he actually lodged the cheque and has it cleared ??

If so then work away and name the dude , if not just cancel the cheque and find a net else where .

Last time I cancelled a cheque was over 10 years ago, it cost £7 then - I guess it's gone up since then. Lets all stick to paypal.

That still doesn't answer the question " has the cheque been cashed ?"

I know nothing about the cost as I use cash for everything and if needed I use someone elses paypal account .
