Default Wader questions

I have just bought a pair of thigh waders for a bit of winter grayling fishing. I have breathable chesties but have no intention of wading anything deeper than my knees in the winter and the thigh waders are quick and easy to put on. They are wellie boots with neoprene tops, Shakespeare at £52 and seem to be OK for the price. Trying them out today I have found them a bit siippy on the stoney riverbed, not nearly as good as my felt and stud boots. Have I chosen the wrong wader? Can I fit studs? Any opinions? Alan.

Thanks Ian. These are proper wellie boots so I should be able to use studs I think. ATB, Alan
