Default my own little bit of heaven

i guess this is one of the perks of my job i seen this river and asked about it if any one fish's it or if they allow any one. the lady of the estate said no its not been fished for over 30years and that she don't allow any one to fish it. BUT feeling lucky i asked and told her my intenshions and she said yes i was more than welcome as i had asked so nicly and done a very good job. its just over half a mile of untouched unfished water. it is part of my local river so it should stock brown and rainbows, chub up to 3 1/2lb, pike, perch, dace, bream, carp, eels etc

Just goes to prove that it never hurts to ask! I did the same thing with a farmer back in Vermont who had, "no trespassing", signs everywhere and ended up with an eight point buck! All he wanted was to know was who was on his property. Hope you'll post a few reports next spring and summer!

Take care

Terry

Well done Rich, I too got a mile approx of the lovely Troutbeck this year, I have only had a couple of visits before the season closed, but I will be taking full advantage next season.
Nice to have a bit, all to yourself.
