Default What’s the best Advice / Tip you’ve ever been given?

Come on everyone “What’s the best advice / Tip you’ve ever been given?”
I’m referring to Fly Fishing not life but if your life tips are good enough

My best ever piece of advice was for dry fly fishing and using a furled leader and dropping down to much smaller flies 20#-26# that are lightly dressed

Keep the fly in the water.

That was fly fishing, not life.

''find a high bank early in the year when the sun penetrates the water, and watch the fishes reaction to the things you do..if you see no fish, do not assume they have not already reacted''

Don't talk about Politics or Religion on the Forum (Mrs SKB September 2010)

I took heed this time around

All jokes aside, one good bit of advice I recall was this;

"Big bait - big fish, small bait - all fish!"

I have used this to apply to all my fishing from sea to freshawater lure fishing and fly fishing too.

You'll catch nothing without a fly in the water.
