Default Knocking down the barriers

Hi guys.

I am looking for information on a particular Angling Association, but I seem to be encountering barriers at every juncture.

I don’t want to name and shame them so I will be a bit vague and ask you guys if you can supply any general tips for me to get in touch with them.

They have a website with a “contact us” form. This states “"to receive a response you must state your name, full address and membership number – if any information is missing you will not receive a reply"

I have written to them via this link, but have not even had the courtesy of a reply.

I have looked at the whole of their website and cant see any recent information, except for a forum - but to access it you are required to input your permit number when asked – they are then checked against the database to make sure you are who you say you are !!!!!!

Does anyone have any ideas how to break through these walls of secrecy and get some info from them?

Thanks in advance.

Steiny

Have you tried contacting a member of the committee by post?

If all else fails, this will get you in.

Maybe you should e-mail the site admin saying you're worried that your contact form did not work.
Ask if the site admin could confirm that the form went to the intended recipients.
you'll get the site admin e-mail (and the rest!) if you do a 'who is' search of the URL

Crazy idea but... Find out the name and address of the club secretary and write them a letter.

I tried contacting 2 separate fishing clubs via their website and email contacts and neither of them ever got back to me.
For the record these where the Warwickshire Fly Fishers and Salisbury and District Angling Club.

Cheers

Andy

You have not been rude in this post so why not name them?

You will almost certainly find a member on here who will help you out.....unless it's the Houghton Club :-)))
