Due to the overwhelming support to fill a fly box for our club raffle (not ) it has now been cancelled as a bad idea ( if it was a post for freebies then it would be like flys round a **** )

To be honest why should people give stuff for free to your club raffle with whom they have no links? If it was for a worthy cause such as a charity then I'm sure you would have had plenty of offers but its not, its for a social event that your club is organising and so should finance through ticket sales or club membership fees. Sorry, but what did you expect! How do all the other clubs around the country get prizes for their annual raffles, I don't see any of them on here asking for freebies.

And yes, I know you gave away some flies recently and that should be commended, it was very kind of you to do that, but it really doesnt change anything in respect of donations for your raffle prize.

Like u said why should anyone donate to a club as u said if it was for a worthy cause such as a charity no prob,s then i think we as a club more than qualify as we have a lot of charity case,s within the club )

Its looking that way but as u know theres more to fly fishing other than Blobs,

I've just replied under the fly tying section.

It is not worth placing a request more than once here as anyone interested will pick it up as a quick as a hawk on a coot!

i would like to infrom you , that the raffle is for a good cause and one of our members is trying to get some money to go towards it , we r in the middle of trying to rise funds as our club water may be going up for sale and we trying to get enough money to purchase the dam as every little amount helps to this purchase this water

dont you agree that a box full of flys is more attractive than a empty box
