Exclamation What are we as anglers, really looking for?

Hi all, Iv'e been pondering this subject for some time. Wording it is more difficult.

As Anglers, we are always on the look out for that Gucci, bit of gear, that gives us the edge. Though more often than not, the product that you have spent your hard earned cash on, turns out to be utter rubbish.

What are we really looking for? Where do the true product descriptions come from?

I know I'm opening up for some hits here, but I'd be interested in your responses.

Best Regards

Stuart

Hmm, I think that's a bit of a broad brush you're using to paint a picture of an 'angler'. Some who fly fish are certainly constantly driven to own the latest bit of kit, but many more are content with what they have, and are more concerned about getting time to use it.

Stuart i was thinking exactly the same question the other day there and was going to create a post entitled,

"To the Older Anglers, Is It Really All Worth It ?"

I love my fishing and wouldnt dream of giving it up but dont quite know what im "getting out" of it ?
