Default Knots

I may be wrong bit I think there used to be a link on the forum showing how to tie various knots which I found very useful. I can't find it now and would be grateful if someone can point me in the right direction thanks.

Minstrel,

Try either or both of :

www.Orvis_Knots

www.Grog's Fishing Knots Index (I kid you not)!!!!

Give them a Google.

Langleeford.

I found this site really helpful when I was starting out fly fishing, particularly the animations: Animated Knots by Grog | How to Tie Knots | Fishing, Boating, Climbing, Scouting, Search and Rescue, Household, Decorative, Rope Care,
I've also found that, a couple of months after taking up fly fishing, I only really use three knots: An albright for connecting backing to fly line, a double water knot for droppers, and a tucked half blood knot for attaching flies to tippet.
There are so many out there that if you try to learn them all, you can end up tying yourself in... well... you know

This might sound a little silly, but please bear with me.

I learnt a new knot but don't remember the name, and can't find it on any of the links provided.

It's tied as follows....(when connecting 2 pieces of line together to extend a leader or make a dropper)....

Make a loop...

Go round the back of the loop

Go round the back of the loop again

Come through the loop

Wet and pull all the ends...

And if anyone can get it from that I'll be impressed!
