Default Daiwa Lochmor Z 10ft #7 Fly Rod

Hi
I have just brought this rod off ebay for £35 and just wondered how you would rate this rod as i dont have a clue
I just seen it on there, liked the look of it and brought it,

how well does it handle and what is the action like?
and if anyone has one or has used one what do they think of the rod?

cheers mitch

You have bought yourself a very nice rod for not a lot of money.very nice mid to tip action.that is good with most lines.I might not recommend it for Hi Di lines but that just my opinion.

If in good nick you have a bargain!
Retail in early 2001/2 was nearer £200 than £150 for 10' #7 4 pce, in fawn hard plastic tube.
Is good all round boat / sea trout rod, but as Jim says will struggle with di 7 and big lures.
Have one myself, in good nick, use it 4 or 5 times a year for trout and sea trout, and wouldnt part with it for less than £80!
regards
bert

The bloke said its only been used a few times, its looks in good condition even the handle looks like brand new from the photos will see what it looks like when it gets here.

As i have only just started i have been using a #7wf floating line with gh fritz lures on a still water bank fishing and been doing alright.

Would the daiwa lochmor rod be alright for that?

cheers mitch

Default Had mine about Six years

Hi Mitch, Iv'e had my Lochmor around six years and caught countless numbers on it. More middle than tip actioned, which suits most fisherfolk.

I got mine from Sportfish in Winforton via Danny North, on his recommendation, for £120. I still have it in the tube, though now it rarely sees the light of day.

Nice rods all the same.

Regards

Stuart
