Question Frencham Fishery

Hi all - I am down in hampshire next weekend near Frencham and I am hoping to sneak off for a bit of fishing at Frencham Trout Fishery on Saturday.

Never been there before on line reviews are mixed and fairly old - anyone been there recently - what's it like?

Default Fencham Fishery

I fished Fencham around 5 years ago and from what I remember it was idillic with 2 small lakes 1 above the other fed by small stream (full brooke trout)
I had my first 2.5lb brown there took a green nymph.had been feeding on green caterpillar falling from a tree on opposite bank took an age to cast under the tree without getting tangled in the tree. took it on the first successfull cast! I remember it like yesterday!
Would be interested in what its like today.

Not being pedantic, but it's FrenSham fishery if you're planning to use your sat nav!

Not fished it for years, but there are about 6 lakes there now, very small but pretty surroundings and great fun on light tackle.

Its a smashing little place, go the natural route, PTNs, small buzzers and small klinks on the top and you should be ok. Bit of a pig to find first time, but it's not alone in that. If I was you I would try the smaller lake on the right to start with, always done OK there, just watch the trees when you cast.

All the best
