Default new ideas and innovations?

hi

I love fly fishing and one day while I was on the river I came upon an idea for one very important accessories that will hopefully become a fundamental part of fly fishing equipment for all those who love fly fishing. I think that my idea was well received by fishermen. how to implement a new idea about fly fishing equipment because I do not have enough money that my idea realized in the final product. need advice

Exactly what i was just about to say

Try to get in contact with a fishing company to see what they have to say about your design

I sent mail to several companies. Some of the companies have responded to me and asking to send them the idea. The problem is if I say my idea of who guarantees that the company where I showed my idea not to patent the idea. If I want to patent the idea in the world it costs a lot of money, which I unfortunately do not have

Patent fee, How much does a patent cost?
That is a complex question. It is free to file a patent application with the UK Patent Office initially, but there is a fee of £200 (correct at the time of writing, July '08) to be paid by the end of the second year after filing. It can either be paid upfront when filing or split into £130 in the first year and £70 in the second. If the patent is granted, then after year 5 you have to pay an annual fee to maintain the patent. This fee increases year on year from £50 in year five, to £400 for year twenty.
The patent process: invention patents

Apparently the fee doesn't have to be paid in full until the end of the second year, with a minimum of £130 by the end of the first year (not sure if this is the current amount). Can't you patent the idea, then reveal it to your perspective investors, you've got a year to play with then.

Right it all down on paper with drawings of every part from every side and how it is put together. Make sure the description is as accurate as possible and covers everything. Send a copy to yourself by registered post or recorded delivery making sure it is well sealed. Don't open it when it arrives and make sure you sign for it. Lodge it with a lawyer or your bank manager still unopened, then send copies to the manufacturers. It isn't fail safe but at least you can prove that the design and idea are yours and that you have the dated original design information to prove it.

You might find this useful.

to be honest i wouldn't bother patenting it. it will cost you a lot of money and if someone wants to copy it they will just modify something small so they are not infringing on your patent rights. if someone does copy it you will need a lot of cash to fund your legal action against them.

i think its best to spend your money developing the idea to a prototype which you can then take to tackle manufacturers or even develop further and have manufactured for you. This will give you a lead if they decide to copy it.

The first problem is that I live in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Payment of patent application for a state is not expensive. The problem with money is when you must pay the patent in every country where it is possible to produce and process a patent application last few years. It is the only way to fully protect the ideas and why I say that it is for me a very expensive
