If you look at their website, you'll see they don't appear to have any water of their own - they are just trying to sell you expensive fishing holidays or a couple of nights in a hotel near to some fishing. I notice that the angling-related free gift is an aluminium flybox said to be worth £45. It looks like it's not a Wheatley box but a cheap copy. A bit of a clue as to the type of company?

I think you would have to be an 'Endsleigh Type' for this sort of nonsense.

What's an "Endsleigh Type"? It sort of rings a bell, but I can't recall exactly - is it something from an insurance ad?

Looper I expect is too young.

It would mean a true sportsman.

Yes it was a countryhouse hotel with Tamar Water, the adds used to say more or less "captal sport etc......are you an Endsleigh type?"

Bear in mind back in the 70's everyone writing in the game press wanted to be a cross between country boy and a toff.

All trout were measured in "braces", bally silly asses - they don't even wear trousers.

Default Ty for the reply's

As you say Sewinbasher, the price rang foul with me, and on inspection of the website it doesn't look like it has any merit, thought i'd ask tho.

Esteemed BWO, Greetings - it is me Sabu, elephant boy, grip, gaffer, best boy, Bollywood superstar and recently descibed by SheevaCrazeeReeva as homo-erotic - I say!

Have we met? You sound familiar? Cadences of long ago when in more earthly form you relaxed languidly on banks of..............

To all other sahibs out there, snobbery is good. It keeps the hoi polloi away from treasured and holy waters. Look what happened when we let guttersipe journalists into the temple of Cauverie. Oh, but I get above myself.

Humble salaams

Sabu, elephant boy.
