Default Sage TXL

Hi all,

the TXL's are going on sale and I was wondering - has anyone got an opinion on the 0-000 weights, or, failing that, any of the other ones?

Best

I like them, well i'm talking about the 7'10 #1,#2,#3 and #4, i have no experience with the zero or sub zero's. I owned the 1 and 2, thinking about it i don't really know why i sold them both, they were FUN rods. You have to pick the days to fish them but if there is not much wind they are very nice to fish with.

TXL 0 wt is my pride and joy for small stream dry fly use. No problems with head wind as its easy to compress the loop and punch it through. Side winds can be a bit of a b*gger as the turn over tends to colapse if hit by a gust.
The rod flexes fully in the fight and bullies the fish in nicely while protecting a fine tippet.
TXL 6'3wt I have used and tried against many comparable rods at Sportsfish ( a few years back) and it was by far the best of the bunch, I often wondered if it would have been a better choice... Where are they being sold off? (christmas is coming)

Interesting - I'm considering either a 0 weight or the 6'3" 3weight. The Hardy 2 weight 6' had actually caught my eye for the latters slot. Maybe I'll just buy the blanks.
