Default Subs rebate debate tangent

Hi,

I have been sent a question that I cannot answer reagrding the stocking and catching of Brown Trout.

"I don't know how many times a trout can be caught before it gives up feeding. If browns are caught and returned how many times can this happen?"

Your thoughts and comments please

Kindest regards

Dave

Default Some fish never learn.

There's a lovely Blue trout nicknamed 'Punky' in a fishery near me, which some people on here may know. She's been caught more times than a weeny in a zipper and still keeps taking flies. She's called 'Punky' because she's got a bit big now (5lb or so) but, no matter how often you warn them, people fish too light as it's a small lake and assume they'll be small fish. Anyway she snaps so many flies off she swims about much of the time with a few fly studs in her lip. Then someone who knows the score will go out to catch her and remove the flies. Off she goes again and so it continues.

I haven't been over this year to see if she's still there or gone fins up. I hope she's there bigger and fatter and more spangled than ever, like some burlesque dancer of the trout world doing her gig.
