Default DCAC info on its waters

HI all I am after some further information on the waters of the DCAC particularly the waters at Willington and Hoveringham as there does not seem to be any around.

Any comments regarding boat or bank, stocking, fishing reports, clarity etc would all be very welcome. I am currently thinking about joining, although a bit scared with the joining fee, I would have to keep that away from the accountant (wife).

I think I will try and get over and try Foremark before it closes for the season

Thanks in advance
Seth

Default DCAC

Hi Seth

Theres an open day at Willington this Sunday and that will answer all your questions. Check my blog for most DCAC venues . I'll be there Sunday drumming up members for the River Erewash Foundation (wishfull thinking).

Default Venues

If you like stillwater they also have Ladybower, Blithfield,Toft Newton and 2 venues north notts (Retford/Southwell) caled Tiln and Sutton, the latter is often some members favorite stillwater, along with Ogston Res an amazing venue. You could fish a different venue every week of the year mate .

Default Hoveringham

Yeah interested in all the waters, but for getting out regularly could only manage hoveringham hence the interest.

I presume it goes one of two ways, either cracking spot and everyone keen to keep it quite or **** and no-body goes.

Looking at the reports for the other venues (read all the older threads about the others) i presume it will be a cracking venue but really like to know, would it be possible to fish it as a prospective member ? and what are the venues closed/open seasons?

regards
Seth

Sorry I've never fished Hoveringham but maybe another DCAC member on here could help with that. Seems a lot to pay for a now and then approach, especially aimed at 1 venue. Maybe theres a small syndicate in that area, ask on here as you'd be suprised what info comes up.

Good luck

Mick

Default Hoveringham

Seth - with regards to the waters at Hoveringham. I drove down the track betweeen the ponds on my way to fish the stretch of the Trent that DCAC has. I didn't see one fish rise on the ponds nor did I see anyone fishing them. I did have a chat with the farmer who owns he land but he isn't a fisherman so couldn't shed any light on whether or not they are any good.
