Based at my idyllic lakeside Lodge at Barnsdale, I run half day and full day fly fishing adventures for beginners and improvers. Individuals, couples, groups and very professional corporate team building days. Commencing in my bespoke Lakeside fishing cabin you'll learn all the skills to enjoy this active and exciting branch of the sport.
All about the tackle, flies, the water and casting. Then after a lovely lunch served overlooking the lake we'll go aboard a motorboat and put all this newly learned skills into practice, flyfishing for hard fighting trout on one of the finest trout lakes in the world, the mighty Rutland Water.
I also offer expert guiding with a team of world class guides and salmon flyfishing trips to Russia and Eastern Canada.
I am an Orvis endorsed Guide for the Rutland area, a member of the Sonik World Team and recently won a Silver award for the best visitor experience in the East Midlands. The emphasis of my offer is on fun and adventure.
I own my own 4 star Lakeside Guest House on the shores of Rutland Water Rutland Water Bed & Breakfast where guests can enjoy a brilliant stay right next to the water.
