I've been tying a few of these but I only have grizzly hackle - anyone else tie them using grizzly or know if they'd be less effective than with a brown hackle?

Personally think any colour of hackle will work in the evenings or mornings and even maybe during the day as I think it is more a silohete that the fish go for with this pattern, low long wing, than colour.
