Default French Partridge Bumble

This is how i put these together and i mite need 2 posts so bare with me as i tried to fit as many pics as possible.

Tye thread on leaving the front of hook empty (size 10)

Then add oval gold tinsel

Then a small bunch of GP Tippets
Click the image to open in full size.

Then add seals fur of your choice(i used claret)
Click the image to open in full size.

Stop the dubbing short
Click the image to open in full size.

Then add hackle(i used red game cock)
Click the image to open in full size.

Palmer back and catch with rib and 4 to 5 ribs and tye off
Click the image to open in full size.

Then add bronze mallard wing
Click the image to open in full size.

Tye down with thread and trim leaving front of hook bare
Click the image to open in full size.

Tidy up trimmed bit with thread going to eye then back to wing
Click the image to open in full size.

Whoosh here we go part 2

Tye in black hen hackle

Wind on 4 turns
Click the image to open in full size.

Then add another
Click the image to open in full size.

Another 4 turns
Click the image to open in full size.

Then take a small french partridge hackle and prepare it like this

Click the image to open in full size.

Then tye it direectly on top of hook like this
Click the image to open in full size.

Give 2 turns tye off and whip finish
Click the image to open in full size.

Job done and hope you like the finished result

Hi Sorry, I forgot to ask. I guess the French Partridge feather is dyed, but what colour? And where may I source them?
