Question Let's move on to easy drys

Hi all,
I can tie Lures, wets and buzzers ( NOT the best but they still work). The one thing i can't tie is a dry. I went down to Maran today, i had eight in 6 hours, now six of them were on drys, the bad thing is i bought the drys i used, so i didn't get the same feeling i usualy do when i catch on my own made flys. This links back to the title "Let's move on to easy drys". All fishermen that make drys say "they are easy to make", so i had a look on the internet and on the step by step page and thought, they dont seem to look very easy, so i would like to know if any one can give me a very very very easy and effective dry fly.

That's generous of you because I would love to learn how to do it right. Must link up with you and you can tell me how to fish Darren's place. Get a lot of stuff from him and would like a few hours there. Cant throw a line as far as the rest there can though.
Also picked up a few fish on Melvin last year on my rudimentary dries. In Farrell's bay.

I should be able to name them griffith's gnat, black gnat and a winged black gnat, but any other good ones will be good.

i am a beginner and have had a lot of success with the griffiths gnat- very easy tie.
or a deer and cdc caddis- on the danica site. very easy.
or cdc emerger- danica site or dave wiltshire river fly box.
f flys
even the klinks tied the way dave wiltshire shows on his site arent difficult

i'll host an easy dry fly swap if you like- its a good way of learning a pattern.

have a look at the different patterns then choose what you fancy doing then i'll set up a beginner dry fly swap on and hopefully recruit 10 tyers to do a different pattern- theme- easy dries.

If you can set this up this will be great.

Please do have a look at my site for some ideas:

River Fly Box, trout, flies, tying, patterns, CDC, emergers, dry, nymphs

At first, it may appear that there are some tricky patterns, but you will find many of them easy to tie. Hopefully the instructions will help.

Best regards,
