I have just added the tying sequence for tying The Paradun to the River Fly Box:

That's a lovely fly, which I would have a go at if only I could find anyone with Coq de Leon in stock. When looking for CdL for use in tails, what should I be looking for, a cape, or loose feathers?

Thanks Gary. Either will do. I am happy using loose fathers for tails though.

You can easily use microfibbets for tails instead and I've put a link on the page so you can see the technique I use with them.

Usual hackle fibres can also be used.
