Materials : catgut for body, 8/0 white UniThread, Daiichi D900 hooks and mad rabbit dubb ( natural )

every time i see flies like this i want to start learning to tie.could a competent novice tie these? what is my basic equipment ,i go overboard when i start something new but i want to keep things to a minimum.cheers

Isn't that what used to be used on very old tennis rackets?

Amazing flies, I'll have a go myself if Lucian can please advise where you find cat gut ... then no doubt curse a lot wondering how Lucian does them as well as he does.

These look like they'll really do the business.

brilliant flies and nice macro work.

i found an article online somewhere the other week about oliver edwards tying catgut nymphs after being shown polish nymphing in shallow water or at least i think i did lol
