Good though it is, it's more 'model making' than fly tying, plus it's blooming massive!

I just wouldn't have the patience, nor the skill. But you have to admire the talent.

Sorry Scratch, realistic or imitative flies aren't bait fishing. Since the dawn of the sport the goal has been to simulate the behaviour of insects in and on the water and entice the strike. "Realistic", "imitative" and "suggestive" all just sit on the same sliding scale. If you can efficiently (there's a big question mark) and effectively tie something that behaves and looks more like the real thing to the fish then you've got to get less rejections. Both ends of the scale have their place.
