Was fishing one of the local stillwaters early last year and the only guy catching was useing one of these. Worked his way around the fishery taking fish where everyone had been strugling for hours.Its the only bloodworm type fly that i've found works on my locals or else i'm fishing the others wrong

In the summer i use this with an orange tail and head that works well.
Hook: Kamasan B110
Body: Plumbing tape used here
Rib: Any wire of choice bronze used here
Head: Red glo bright floss
Tail: Red marabou
Step 1: Start thread and tie in the marabou
Step 2: Tie in rib
Step 3: Take a strip of plumbing tape and cut at an angle
Step 4: Tie in the plubing tape and wrap up the body
Step 5: Rib the fly with the wire and then whip finish and cut off thread
Step 6: Catch in the glo bright and build a head to the fly then whip finish and cut off
Step 7: Pinch the marabou to size and give the head and body a couple of coats of varnish and thats you
