I use the hot orange version usually as the first wet fly of the day singurly or as a team of 3 different colours. If these don't produce then I start changing to other colours and eventually other flies. The hot orange version is very good when daphnia is about but the hot orange version has taken fish in almost all conditions not just bright days. Claret or dark versions seem to be best late at night when its getting near dusk.
I tie the natural and white versions without the bead and use these as dries in the smaller hook sizes, I also "gink up" a size 10 and pull it through waves on a windy day, takes are aggressive. Suppose these are similar to the
Bi-Visible flies.
Try them with a marabou tail , a type of Woolly ****** ....
