As usual, an excellent video.

Perhaps you can explain to me the advantage in preforming the booby eyes.? I stick a dab of superglue on the hook/thread and then figure of 8 the tube on and then trim it to shape. What's the advantage in doing it your way?

Hi,

Another good video I like your way of making the booby eyes, I've only tied a couple of flies with these because I've found making them so annoying, I'll try it your way the next time.

Guys thanks for the kind comments, I have to say I am getting a lot of benifit from these vids as well I have had countless tips on how to improve what I do and I have now incorporated many of the tips into my fly tying. It is an area of my fishing that there is much room for improvement.

Bill to answer your question the advantage from my perspective is the time saved. I travel quite a bit to fish and when I am away I don't like tying, bad light bad position and what not so having things pre done just helps get it over and done with. I am sure your method is just as good, just may not be as quick.

Another great video Simmo, many thank. However(!) a Woofter? And a Woofter Booby? I had to pick my wife up off the floor she was laughing so much at the name. Where on earth did that name come from?!

Ha, the name came from the use of the pale pink instead of white marabou in the pattern, didn't really think it could be called a poofta booby!!
