Default Cats Whisker

I started fishing about twenty years ago and this is the fly that was responsible for my first fish. I don't really own any beedy eyed flies anymore but this was a killer in its day.

What difference would it make if you put the bead eyes underneath?

Depends on weight of bead eyes. Placed on top, heavy weights will make the fly go upside down, great for snaggy bottoms.
Heavy weight eyes under will make fly stay upright. Both ways will make the fly sink head/eye first and then the eye will move upwards before the rest giving a natural undulating motion of the marabou tail. Enticing.

Nice video, Simmo and well presented. You've got a good voice for it and judge the pace nicely.

Very kind bill, I have enjoyed doing them, I have been lucky in that many people have shown me how to do bits and bobs. Its nice to be able to offer something back. I only tie flies to catch fish, I wish I had the skill that some of the tyers out there have. The flies are like works of art.
