Don't think so....... My UV straggle PTN's sink perfectly well - even tied down to 16's. Mind you, I do tie 'em on B175's or Fulling Mill Comp Heavyweights, and I always fish 'em on fluorocarbon. The red thorax version works best for me on a slow figure of eight retrieve - but if I go 'buzzer slow' I just hook bottom, so they must sink well enough.

Don't think so too... what if they are used in a comp? Nice fly pint and open to some good variations. Thinking of pin fry as well as claret, black and olive.
