Thanks for that richard.
Bit confused as I have polypropyline floating yarn that is shiny and smooth. Also have poly yarn and antron body yarn which are both simular in appearance and to what is shown in your sbs. I take it that what is shown is what I have as poly yarn!

Poly yarn it is! If you feel like spending a lot on the best yarn then the Aero wing stuff is the best but I use poly yarn as I have a lot and it was cheap. For the little PPS I use the Aero wing...

Cheers again Richard. Have use the floating polyprpyline/flat and shiny for spent wings and it does look good. Also used it for loop wings. Tied these years ago and haven't got round to using them, so cannot comment on any leader twist etc.

You could always add a hackle and cut it off flat underneath. The half hackle stops the fly twisting the tippet without interfering with the profile from underneath.
