Fly Tying > Crawling cdc midge pupa - step by step

This is not a pattern I created, I wish it was.... Drylfy Purist posted it. Havent fished it yet but tied a sh!* load, fun to tie.


Abdomen: Black thread and Rainbow Flash
Hook: 16-22/24 or 10-16 for CHIRONOMID
Wings/Legs: White CDC
Thorax: Dark dubbing, I use hareline black ice dub myself

Great looking buzzer, This has to be a real fish taker, alright. I will have to tye a few of these in black, olive, and brown.
Cracking fly, glad I found this.

sure thing sam! I dont have macro settings on my camera or I would ty it out but go to Baxter House COuntry Style Lodge and River Outfitters and look up the ice cream caddis or ice caddis.... unbelieveable fly... my hands down favorite!
