There was a lure called that, remember it from about 20 years ago. Can't remember the exact dressing, think it was either a black cat or a black lure but whichever one it was, the wing was multi coloured flash. Think the flash was called 'rainbow flash'. Similar colouring to mosaic flash but each strand was a single colour rather than bands on each strand.

Default Rainbow Warrior

The rainbow warrior i remember is a viva variant with jungle cock eyes and rainbow flashabou by lureflash overt he black marabou wing. Used to batter the bows and browns on the loch with it on a regular basis.

Size 10 or 8 hook
Green tail glowbrite 11
Black chenneil
Silver tinsel rib
Black marebou wing
jungle cock cheaks
rainbow flashabou over wing.
Hope this helps Abi.

Abi
Mentieth is right the rainbow warrior is based on the Viva and the pattern is the way he describes. It certainly isnt a buzzer. Not here anyways.

I know some dont use the marabou as a wing and leave it off and just use the rainbow mosaic as the wing only.maybe just a variation of the original. But both work very well.

Hi Steve, had a look in the box, mosaic and rainbow flash are slightly different, original mosaic is more black looking with pronounced short bars of colour, the blue is also much darker than on the rainbow stuff which has almost kingfisher blue. Both probably used on the rainbow warrior depending which version the tyer had, doubt if anyone will know exactly which was the original for that fly.
